The Best Way to Promote the Practice? Answer Like a Human
Most people will do anything to avoid a phone call these days. We’ll fill out forms, chat with bots, book online… whatever it takes to avoid actually picking up the phone. So when someone does call your practice… that’s a powerful signal:
They don’t want a bot. They want a human. Because they’re not just booking an appointment, they’re deciding who to trust.
Listen for what’s really driving that call. Then speak directly to it. Show them the parts of your practice that solve their specific worry. Be the human element they need.

|---|---|---|---|
"I'm nervous." "I'm in pain." | “Do you have insurance?” “Ok, what’s your availability?” |
| "Don't worry, we'll take great care of you. |
“I need to book an appointment for my … (child, parent, etc)”. | “Last name please?” “Yes, we take children, what’s your schedule like?” |
| "We see patients of all ages, and our team is amazing with kids. We work hard to make visits comfortable for the whole family." |
“Do you do Implants | invisalign | whitening | crowns | veneers | etc” (cosmetic) | “We don’t give prices over the phone” |
| "We do a lot of cosmetic work here and focus on natural-looking results. |
“Can you do it at your practice?” (i.e do you do it all in-house?) | “No, we don’t do that” or “Yes we do…” |
| “Tell me more about your situation?” and “Let me tell you how it works here. While we don’t do [specific procedure] in house we partner with local practices that do” or “Whatever you need, we can take care of it here, from your initial visit through treatment, so everything is handled in one place." |
“Do you take my insurance?” | “Yes” or “No” |
| “Yes, would you like me to explain how it works? We can walk you through everything and check your insurance ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect." or “Tell me more about your situation and I’ll see what we can do” or “We can walk you through everything and check your insurance ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect." |
Keep It Simple
- Choose 3–4 key strengths of your practice
- Keep them visible by the phone
- Use them naturally based on the conversation
If it feels natural → it builds trust
If it builds trust → they book
